TANKSIM - Tanker Cargo Handling Simulator

TANKSIM is a PC-based oil tanker cargo operations training simulator which complies fully with STCW 95 convention and other IMO and international regulations. The system is aimed at both personnel new to oil tankers and those aspiring to senior ranks.

TANKSIM is modeled on a 64000 dwt segregated ballast tanker (SBT) with two main cargo pumps, a ballast pump, an eductor and a stripping pump. 

Users interact with the system via 2 standard Windows screen:

Main Control Panel

This screen contains 4 views, which display the current contents of the cargo and ballast tanks and the operations status of the tanker.

The main control room panel displays the level gauges and pump control and pressure gauges.

The IGS control panel is displayed in the lower right panel. The Inert Gas System is controlled from this panel.

Valves Control Panel

This screen contains 3 views which display selected tank contents in greater detail. The upper left view contain the valve and cleaning machine controls.

The mimic diagrams are displayed in the bottom view, which allows the user to switch between the top and bottom pipeline systems.

TANKSIM is released in 2 versions - Professional and Enterprise. The Professional version supports multiple users, and includes network functionality. The Enterprise version is targeted at trainers and instructors. It supports multiple users and includes network functionality, and is also supplied with the session configuration and reporting tool.
